What is Ishikari-nabe?

Ishikari-nabe is a food from Hokkaido, the northernmost region of Japan.

The climate of Hokkaido is similar to that of Germany.

Since many pollacks are caught in Hokkaido, different kinds of pollack dishes are common.

In Japan, miso, which is a traditional fermented food, and pollack are well related to each other.

This dish "Ishikari nabe" is also very popular.
